    Challenge Specifications

How will we know what we are photographing each week?

The winner of the week’s challenge will be determined by the photo with the most amount of votes. A poll will be drafted up each week to determine the winner. Whoever wins the week will get to choose the next photo challenge and topic.

For example: Challenge: Macro   /   Topic: Insects

Each week a different challenge must be chosen. Previous challenges will be crossed out. Once all 12 challenges have been completed the list refreshes and all challenges can be chosen once again.

*Try to keep topics in mind that are inclusive – photos that others may easily be able to take while in quarantine, so that as many people can participate as they wish and no one has an unfair advantage. Get creative, and have fun.

How long will we have to take the photo?

Each challenge will be a week long so people have ample time to get supplies and take the photo. Pictures will need to be submitted by Saturday (6pm) and voting will take place until Sunday (6pm) when the winner will be announced.

*Please think of a topic you would like to do ahead of time in case you are that week’s chosen winner.

Ontario Wanderers League (OWL) is hosting this event, what does that mean?

OWL is an outdoor group of like-minded individuals who enjoy the outdoors and all things associated with it. Being part of the group is not mandatory for the challenge. However, unless specified by you, photos may be featured on the OWL website and social media.

How will we submit our photos?

Visit the dedicated submission page to get your photo in by Saturday (6pm) of each week.

    Challenge Photos:
*Include the WEEK your NAME and a TITLE in the file name.
    (ex. Week 1_Melissa_Red_Rose.jpg).

    Extra Photos:
*Include the WEEK and your NAME in the file name.
    (ex. Week1_Melissa.jpg).

    How will voting take place?

Visit the voting page (once submissions close) and get your vote in between Saturday (6pm) & Sunday (6pm) of each week.
